Both primary and junior students were given the opportunity to try events that might be new to them, and test themselves as they participated and cheered each other on. It was a wonderful vibe across the school! A big thank you to all the staff and student leaders who helped in organizing and facilitating these active, shared learning experiences for our students at Centennial! </span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">EQAO Assessments begin this week for students in grade 3. Our school team has done a wonderful job of ensuring our students were engaged in the required learning to prepare them for all components of the assessment, and have access to supports that will allow them to show their skills in literacy and numeracy. The demand for Kingston, and Canada, as a learning destination is rapidly growing. Students from over 15 different countries are here now staying with great homestay families in Limestone. Thank you to the staff and students for preparing art for our Recycled Student Art Gallery, and for building signs to design our Traffic Garden. We hope to bring this forward for our June BBQ on June 10th. The demand for Kingston, and Canada, as a learning destination is rapidly growing. Students from over 15 different countries are here now staying with great homestay families in Limestone. The demand for Kingston, and Canada, as a learning destination is rapidly growing. Students from over 15 different countries are here now staying with great homestay families in Limestone. <p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The Limestone District School Board (LDSB) has received a $25,000 grant through the Community Foundation for Kingston and Area’s Community Grants Program in support of its Elementary Summer Literacy and Math Program.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The three-week program supports Limestone students finishing Senior Kindergarten to Grade 3 by strengthening foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics to help set students up for success in the following school year.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Grant funding will be used to purchase literacy and math learning resources and to create family engagement packages. These take-home resources are designed to support learning at home and encourage families to engage in literacy and math activities alongside their students.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The LDSB is grateful to the Community Foundation for Kingston and Area for their generous support, helping students across the district access this important summer learning opportunity.</span></p>

Over two and a half days, competitors impress educators, family members, friends, and potential employers through hands-on, real‑world challenges.
