Week at a Glance

Hello Centennial Comets!

A great job by all our Comets for their participation in our Terry Fox Run/Walk.  Altogether, we raised over $300 in support of cancer research and the Terry Fox Foundation.  Well done Comets!

We had our first Recognition Assembly on Thursday.  Congratulations to all our certificate award winners in being recognized for showing Leadership, Respect, Citizenship or Bravery.  As well, congrats to all our Comets in earning 1700 Colour House beads in the first month of school.  We are well on our way to reaching our goal of 10 000 Colour House beads for the school year!

We are encouraging all our students to wear an orange shirt on Monday to take action towards reconciliation and to honour all the Indigenous children that were sent to residential schools.  We will be recognizing the importance of the day, through our morning announcements and class discussions and activities.

A reminder about our Open House on Monday from 4:30 to 5:30.  We hope to see all our families there!

Our first School Council meeting will follow the Open House from 5:30 to 6:30 in our school library.  We welcome all parents and guardians that are interested in participating on School Council

On Saturday, October 5th, the Limestone District School Board will be holding a Safe Spaces Symposium at St. Lawrence College.  There are 4 excellent speakers lined up and they are looking forward to a great day.  For information about the symposium or registration, please visit the LDSB website or access the following link:
