Hello Centennial Comets!

Welcome Back Comets
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome back our Centennial community from the holidays. We truly hope that everyone was able to enjoy their time with family and friends. We are looking forward to a smooth and successful transition back from the holiday break.

Centennial Carol Singing and Holiday Activity
We want to thank our Centennial community for joining us during our Centennial Holiday Celebration. The celebration consisted of hot chocolate, carol singing and holiday crafts and activities. We really appreciated having our Centennial community join us for the afternoon as we celebrated the holiday season and spread holiday cheer.

Thank You to the Cookes-Portsmouth United Church
On behalf of the staff and students at Centennial Public School, we want to thank our community partners from the Cookes-Portsmouth United Church for their generous donations to our school. We are extremely lucky to have such caring community members supporting our students and school.

Colour House Totals for December
During the month of December, our students showed their Comet pride and engaged in many positive acts. Over the month, our Centennial Comets earned 1075 Colour House beads. This means that during the first 4 months of school, our Comets have completed a total of 6962 amazing acts. Keep up the great work, Comets!

Staffing News
We would like to take this opportunity to share some staffing news with the Centennial community. Madame Moore, our French teacher, will be leaving us to at the end of this week to begin a new adventure at Central Public School. We want to thank Madame Moore for all her work with our students and for her effort instilling a passion of the French language. We wish her all the best in her new role.
As difficult as it is to say goodbye to Madame Moore, we would like to welcome Madame Cooney back from her maternity leave.  Madame Cooney will be returning to Centennial on January 20.
