In-Person Learning Returns January 25, 2021

Thank you to students, staff, and families for your efforts and work during remote learning in January. We could not have made it through the last three weeks of online learning without the cooperation, collaboration, and teamwork of our teachers, EAs, ECEs, parents, grandparents, older siblings, and our students!  Thanks so much to everyone for pulling together and making it work. We are returning to in-person learning tomorrow (on Monday, January 25) and are looking forward to seeing our students back in our classrooms. Bussing will also resume tomorrow morning.

Warm Winter Clothing Needed Everyday

Please remember that students will be going outside for recess two times a day and so they need to wear warm boots, hats, mitts, coats and snow pants. Thank you.

Daily Symptom Screening

Parents are reminded that daily screening must be done before students come to school each day. The screening guidance can be found at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/. Please feel free to call the school if you have any questions or are unsure whether your child should stay home from school.

Masks

Please remember to send your child to school wearing a mask and send a spare one in their backpack, in case the first one gets wet.

Technology Return

If you borrowed a device for online learning, please return it to the school on Monday. If you are not able to bring it back on Monday, please return it this week as soon as possible so that we can disinfect the devices and have them ready for students to use. Thank you very much.

Food Sharing Program

Our Food Sharing Program provides nutritious snacks for students who are in of need food assistance. Our next order will arrive on Wednesday of this week, and we have a small supply of food for snacks on Monday and Tuesday.

Family Literacy Day – January 27, 2021

Family Literacy Day takes placed every January 27th to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in literacy-related activities as a family. Why not read a book after dinner together, or play a board game, or sing some of your favourite songs?  We hope that you can find some time to celebrate literacy together at home on Wednesday evening.
