The Jewish New Year, commemorating the creation of the world. It also marks the beginning of Days of Awe, a 10-day period of repentance culminating in the Yom Kippur holiday or Day of Atonement on October4-5. Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are the two “High Holy Days” for Jewish people.

Accommodations should be made by school staff for students who may be absent during this time.
