Note From the Principal

Hello Comet Families,

I hope that this email continues to find you all well and healthy.

On Friday, the Minister of Education released information highlighting three potential scenarios for the reopening of public schools in the fall, which include: continued remote learning, a full return to in-school learning that follows public health directives, or a blended learning model of remote and in-school learning.  The Ministry also announced that it will not make a final decision on what a return to school would look like until early August. Once we receive more information, we will share it with our school community.

A special thank you goes to Will and Isla Sanders for doing an amazing job with our weekly announcements.   To view this week’s announcement, please go to:

Weekly Announcements for the Week of June 22 to June 26

We have 3 new activities for our Comets to try for our Virtual Kindness Club, Virtual Art Club, and Virtual Craft Club.  All students are encouraged to participate in the activities and to share them with their classroom teacher through Google Classrooms.  We look forward to seeing all the amazing things our students are doing to stay engaged and connected.

For our Virtual Craft Club activity, this week’s activity will be posted to all Google Classrooms.

If your child(ren) borrowed a device (iPad or Chromebook) to support with remote learning and your child is not returning to Centennial next year, we ask that you return your technology to the school.  Families can drop off their technology on Wednesday, June 24 from 10:00 to 11:00am at the school.  If you cannot make this time, we ask that you reach out to your child’s classroom teacher to discuss alternate times for return.   Returning students, who have borrowed technology, are able to hold onto their devices until September.

If your child(ren) did not have transportation this year but are eligible and require transportation for the 2020-2021 school year, please visit to check your eligibility and to fill out an application.

Stay Safe, Stay Well Comets!
